Leave a Legacy

Leaving a gift in your Will is a way to make a difference to your local community for generations to come. When you leave a gift in your Will, we ensure your gift stays local and supports the causes you care about most.

Your gift to the community

The Community Foundation welcomes gifts of all sizes.

  • Leave a gift in your Will of £50,000 or more to set up your own named Fund. You choose the name of your Fund and causes you want to benefit. The Community Foundation will ensure grants are awarded according to your wishes forever.
  • Leave a gift of any size to the Tees Valley Foundation Fund. This Fund responds to the changing needs of our community.
  • Leave a gift in your Will to support an existing Fund at the Community Foundation.

Ways to leave a gift

  • A Residuary Legacy - is the remaining value of an estate when all other bequests have been made.
  • A Pecuniary Legacy - is a fixed amount or item specified in a Will.
  • A Reversionary Legacy - allows a surviving partner to benefit from the estate during his or her lifetime and then for the balance of the estate to be passed to the Community Foundation.
  • An Estate percentage - specify a gift of a percentage of the value of your estate.
