These are small grants of up to £12,000 for small voluntary and community organisations with an annual income of under £200k (averaged over 3 yrs) to help them reach disadvantaged people who are not working. Note: For the purposes of the fund - groups can only hold one grant at a time to a maximum of £12,000.

Tees Valley Community Foundation is a partner in this programme across the North East alongside the County Durham Community Foundation, the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland and Acumen Development Trust. We will be managing applications to and grants from the programme for groups in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.
ESF Community Grants will provide awards of up to £12,000 to small community groups undertaking activities including help with basic skills, work experience, training advice and guidance, job search assistance, confidence building, personal development and support to overcome barriers to training and employment. The target group is unemployed and economically inactive people over 18, with particular priority given to black and minority ethnic groups, people over 50, women, lone parents and those with health conditions or disabilities.
