The Foundation would like to welcome Hugh McGouran, Jennifer Crawford and Carol Nicholls to the team. Hugh joins as CEO, Carol as Office & Systems Manager (part time) and Jennifer as Grants and Administration Assistant. Christine Barkas has been promoted to Outreach Officer for the duration of the Local Network Fund Project. Well done Chris!
Quality Mark Accreditation
As part of a continuing drive to improve on quality systems within the Foundation, we are making a submission for Quality Mark Accreditation from the Community Foundation Network.
New Scouts Equipment
East Cleveland Scout District is a registered charity run by 50 volunteers. It promotes the development in achieving full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential for its 499 members aged between 6-18 and provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme consisting of outdoor and adventurous activities, regular meetings and events. The training programme is open to everyone of all abilities.
The group applied to the Foundation as it urgently needed to purchase equipment for both an expedition and its base camps. The grant from the Local Network Fund has helped the group greatly since a large proportion of the Scouts come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
East Cleveland Scout District would like to say thank you to TVCF and the Local Network Fund for their support.
Your help is needed
Even a small donation to the Community Foundation can make a big difference to the people who really need it. The Foundation is close to the local community and channelling funds every day into grass roots community projects and to individuals who know the importance that voluntary and community activity can make to people’s lives.
Tell us how you would like to make a difference and we will make sure your money is well spent.
